Children Wait Too Long For Urgently Needed Dental Care, Canada
The Canadian Dental Association highlights the Wait Times Alliance (WTA) report card on wait times for pediatric dental care delivered in hospitals across Canada. Dental surgery for Early Childhood Caries (ECC) under general anesthesia is the most common day surgery procedure at most pediatric hospitals in Canada, but in 2009, more than 17,000 Canadian children waited longer for pediatric surgery than medical experts recommend.
