			<description>
			To Evan, there's no such thing as a &quot;bucket list&quot;...only things that he’s either done, doing or going to do. That’s the mantra that has guided Evan in his extremely diverse, accomplished and eclectic path; whether it’s building an airplane in 11 days and then flying it solo across the country, volunteering huge sums of time in support of several charities, starting businesses, writing a book or traveling the world.

And this mantra certainly applies to his career in entertainment that has spanned nearly two decades in theatre, major concert venues, television, film, print and radio.

As an actor, Evan is most remembered from his starring role in the boyband spoof film: 2GETHER, the spinoff TV Series of the same name as well as the high school version of the unforgettable eye-patched character &quot;Number 2&quot; in Austin Powers 3.

On television Evan is best known for hosting and contributing his carpentry skills on the Emmy-nominated home makeover show, &quot;While You Were Out&quot; for four years, and can currently be seen each weekend on Country Music Television as the host of CMT's Top 20 Countdown.

Radio listeners can also hear him weekly hosting the syndicated country music news show: CMT Radio Insider.

			HOW CAN AN INNOVATIVE ART PROJECT BECOME A MODEL OF URBAN ENGAGEMENT?

Rick DeVos is a social entrepreneur. In 2009, he created ArtPrize and is behind other ventures that have a common theme of empowering, expanding and enlightening conversation. ArtPrize is an open art competition that gives away the biggest art-related prize in the world and was designed to be a simple social experiment to see if artists and the public could engage each other in a new way.

ArtPrize takes place in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the second annual event last fall attracted 1,700 artists from 21 countries and 44 states displaying their works at almost 200 venues with 400,000 spectators. The scale and energy of the event rocketed it into debates all over the art world -- in urban planning circles and the global press -- with the Wall Street Journal hailing ArtPrize a &quot;model of urban revitalization and public engagement.&quot;

			Defying conventional wisdom has been a critical driving force for great accomplishments during the course of human history.

SUMMARY:
In a hazardous and unpredictable environment, the role of unconventional thinking is especially critical as a basis of any strategy, be it in business, politics or way of being. When the conditions around us are unprecedented, traditional ways of doing things no longer apply.

Instead of a strategy of mere survival—which may simply accelerate such a decline—we should recalibrate our perspective to seeing the environment as full of exceptional, new opportunities.
